Workforce Development
Rockwell Fund will provide grants to organizations
that increase employment options for low-income individuals and
families.
We recognize that meaningful and livable-wage employment not
only results in improved financial stability for that individual
client, but also reaps intergenerational benefits for the family
and community.
Our two-pronged approach to workforce development includes
supporting organizations that:
- Specialize in job training, with a strong track record of job
placement success for higher wage jobs. Successful programs offer
customized training and coaching for clients with multiple
barriers, focus on both hard and soft skills attainment and support
relationships with clients and employers over a period of
time.
- Help create jobs by providing credit and services to small
businesses that do not have access to loans from commercial
sources. Services may include micro-lending, entrepreneurship
training and small business development coaching for low-income
adults. Innovative social enterprises that create new jobs and help
put low-income people to work are also considered.
